Hey Girl,
We want to take a moment to speak directly to each of you—because this journey, this movement, would not exist without your energy, passion, and courage.
When I started Women RUN Wynwood, my vision was simple: to create a space where women could come together, celebrate their strength, support each other, and push beyond their own limits. Every stride you take, every finish line you cross, and every cheer you share with a fellow runner is what brings this vision to life.
This isn’t just about running. It’s about community, empowerment, and proving to ourselves that we are capable of more than we ever imagined. Each of you is a vital part of this family, and I am endlessly inspired by your commitment, resilience, and spirit.
Thank you for being part of Women RUN Wynwood. Thank you for showing up—for yourselves, for each other, and for this movement. Together, we are more than a race; we are a celebration of women supporting women, lifting each other higher with every step.
I can’t wait to see you all at our next event and to continue growing this incredible community together. Keep running, keep shining, and always remember—you are unstoppable.
Much love,
WRW
Grisell Denise
Grisell Denise is a Puerto Rican‑born fitness professional, community builder and founder of Women RUN Wynwood, Inc. (WRW). Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she relocated to Miami at age 18 to pursue higher education and later earned a Master’s Degree in International Business in Paris, France.
With credentials including an IMBA degree and certification as a coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Grisell brings a unique blend of business acumen and fitness expertise to her work.
In December 2017, she launched Women RUN Wynwood in Miami with a clear mission: to empower women through movement, community and self‐belief. The monthly free 5K events she organizes include motivational guest speakers, warm‐ups, run/walk segments, dance fitness and post‐run stretching—all offered in a supportive, women‐only environment.
Grisell emphasises that while running alone might get you fast, running together allows you to go far. She believes deeply in women supporting women, recognizing their worth, strength and potential—especially in environments that can otherwise feel isolating.
Under her leadership WRW has expanded its reach, not only in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood but also through initiatives like “Women RUN Wynwood takes Puerto Rico,” bringing the same empowerment model back to her native island.
Grisell’s story is one of transformation: of identity, of community, and of women’s health. She continues to merge purpose with performance—turning each run into a movement and each participant into part of a larger sisterhood.
